Patriotism is your conviction that this country is superior to all others because you were born in it.

India and Pakistan now were once one this we have read in our history books. I have read and always wanted to a know more about it. Only in Hindi movies it happened that I was able to see borders of Pakistan or a scene of it. So this time I decide to go to wagah border to see the other side of my ancenstral land of the people of my country India. Also I had heard much about the beteating retrcat at wagah. 

Me and my friend decided to make a trip to wagah in the month of march 2019. We left early in the morning around 6:30am from Jammu. We have booked a cab for it. We reached Amritsar at around 1:00 clock there was a huge traffic jam. So we decided to move directly to wagah. 

We had to pass through the city and there was huge  traffic that day  day,didn,t know why. We were little lati but but I wanted to see wagah that day only. 

So I told driver to be little fast. Hopefully we will reach on time. Yes we reached on time and was amazed to see a huge rush of people there. We just ran through the rush and tired to occupy a good seat or can say from where good view is visible. When we reach the open auditorium, I was just overjoyed to see it. Looking at the borders I was fired with pride and patriotism. The soldiers there, their speech, march, uniform, their way of performing everything made my day. The patriotic song played one after another filled my blood in veins to be drop and drop of my country,s pride. I feet like going midway and enthusiasm. 

Everyone there was enthusiastic and filled with joy. Even I saw people of other communities also waving the flag of India and singing to the tunes of patriotic songs. The opening of the border gates, flag down of both countries, respecting each other, s pride just gave me goosebumps.

Really, It was just fantastic of all the trips of my life. This was the most enjoyable knowledgeable and loved one If I got a chance to go there again, I will. The officer of B. S. F thanked people and with a joy, we left wagah and returned to Amritsar.
