Amarnath Yatra , Jammu & Kashmir , INDIA.

Jai Baba Barfani .                                                                                                                                       I am Subhash Chander a tracker from Educational Department basically from Paloura , Jammu visit Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Cave.                                                                                              

   The list of thing I usually need during yatra are:-                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    [ ⧭I-Card, Aadhaar Card , Voter Card , Pan Card , ATM Card , Pass-Port Size Photos =4 ⧭ Blue Pen = 1, Gum Bottle Rs10 Fevicol = 1  ⧭ Photo Copy Set of above i - cards ⧭ Two sets of Track suites: - one for Wearing ,other packed for return ⧭ Track shoe - good condition with flat base.(use it from home ).   ⧭ Undershirts and underwears = 2 each, 1 set used, 1 set packed ⧭ Dettole soap, Toothbrush, Paste, oil, small mirror and comb etc ⧭ Shaving Machine with soap and balade ⧭ Mobile phone with BSNL sim if possible ⧭ URGENT: - Rain Coat light in weight with covering Head ⧭ Socks = 2 Pairs Woolen Necessarily reqd (I set used) ⧭ Wollen Cap = 1 ⧭ Woolen Gloves = 1set for during journey to cave ⧭ 500ml Empty Cold drink bottle for water during journey ⧭ The total Luggage must not exceede 5 to 6 kg In Pithoo bag ]

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

I started my journey from Jammu Bus stand for Srinagar and sit in Tempo traveller from Jammu to Banihal Railway station Rs. 500 to 800. From Banihal to Nowgam (Srinagar) ,I go via Train paying Rs. 20/_ only. At the Railway station there is Yatra booking Counter atleast 500 metres away from station this Compelled there is a photostate shop from where you can take empty yatra form of 2 leafs, fill it completely choosing  BALTAL ROUTE for yatra on next date, Afler filling the form, pasting your photo on it at the space provided, attach your photostate with this form and go to Panthachowk PHC for  fitness certificate where a lady Doctor check your B.P. and stamp Signature your forms and your form by an Employee here. Your name and address is need Register and form is given back to you Again you have to go back to a Station Nowgan of the Yatra BALTAL Counter, they check forms Medical Certificate, take Rs 150 per  head and issue a single yatra  permit form which you have to fill Triplicate (same information). After filling this final yatra form, paste your three Photos on this form and give all  the set back to this yatra counter from you received  and sign this final yatra Permit and give it back to you for  your yatra to Cave via Baltal the next day.                                                                                                                                                                                 The last bus to BALTAL from Parimpora (Mandi) leaves at 3:00 p. m. afternoon and you have to take it today if possible. If you catch Bus, pay Rs. 250 to 300 for Base Camp. You will reach at about 9:00 to 9:30 p.m . On reaching you have to go to the yatra gate about 1k.m, foot track after through all check points they check your yatra Permit: Take Dinner in  free lunger and take shelter in free yatra niwas if possible for night stay or rent a tent for 200 or 150 for night stay .Get up at 5;00 am and go to main gate for the start of yatra at 5;30 or 6;00 am .Bring out your yatra slip slowly tear its one portion and give it to C.R.P.F personal,deployed at main gate for the start of journey. Make sure you have freshed up yourself before the start of yatra. On the track always walk along the mountains side not on the george edge .
Dont take shortcuts on the track. Walk comfortaibly and never panic yourself take rest where ever you feel .  The total track via Kali Mata is 15 to 16 km.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 RESTING STATIONS ARE ;-

At Pacca Pull you will reach at 12 noon .You can take bath there at rented tent for Rs50 and after leaving all your bag and mobile phone there , purchasing a kit of Parshad of Rs 101 or 201, you can reach to holy cave in 10 to 15 minutes .
After having Darshan of  Ice Lingam  of Lord SHIVA  and pair of Pigeons at the cave and top inside the cave mountain , you can come back in 10 minutes after taking AMARNATH YATRA small packets of Parshad from Pujaris .Go back to tent take your articles back , have lunch in a lunger and try to be at Baltal before 5;00pm  for taking bus tempo back to Jammu or follow same route for Srinagar and back to Jammu .
